24 May 2017, Honouring the Maestros

Originally designed as a legacy programme that would have taken living Highlife Music maestros to 50 identified old performance spaces around Lagos since October 2016; it has been modified to a one-night tribute session to some of the living heroes of Highlife music. It will be headlined by Chris Ajilo (composer of Eko Ogba gbere and such other tribute songs to Lagos). It will also feature five other masters of the genre of highlife, and will be anchored by the veteran broadcaster and music writer, Benson Idonije.
Venue: Freedom Park, Lagos Island, Lagos.
